How do you mix a Modulen?

  1. Wash hands thoroughly.
  2. Measure cool boiled or bottled water (room temperature) and pour into a clean bowl or container.
  3. Scoop and level the desired amount of powder using the scoop in the tin or weigh in grams.
  4. Add the powder to the water and immediately stir until well mixed.
  5. After use, store the scoop inside the can.

What can I add to Modulen?

Modulen® IBD can be flavoured using Nestlé Nutrition Flavour Mix, which is available in 5 flavours: Banana, Chocolate, Coffee, Lemon & Lime and Strawberry. A doctor can prescribe Nestlé Nutrition Flavour Mix. As a guide, add 3-6 scoops of Nestlé Nutrition Flavour Mix per serving of Modulen® IBD.

What is Modulen?

Modulen® IBD is a unique whole-protein, powdered formulation for the dietary management of the active phase of Crohn’s Disease to be used as a sole source of nutrition and for nutritional support during the remission phase.

Does Modulen contain lactose?

Contains 25% of fat as MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Lactose and Gluten free. Fibre free.

Can you get Modulen on prescription?

Modulen IBD is a specialist nutritional product for use in Crohn’s Disease only, that can be taken orally (by mouth), or using an enteral feeding tube. It is ACBS approved for prescription on FP10 for use in “Crohn’s Disease active phase, and in remission if malnourished”1.

How do people with Crohn’s gain weight?

Can Modulen be used for ulcerative colitis?
